On November 22nd, 2025, Jhariah stormed the (very small) stage at Starland Ballroom with the kind of energy that made it clear they were here to more than just open for Waterparks. From the second that the lights went low, you could tell how captivated the audience was.

The New York City-based singer kicked things off with “BIGSHOT,” a perfect opener that immediately showed what Jhariah had to offer. Their theater kid energy was immediately apparent, and it became oh-so-obvious we were in for a wonderful show. The moment that they (quite literally) launched themselves into the first chorus sent a shot of energy into the room. The energy for them was electric from the start.

Next came “DEBT COLLECTOR” and “FIRE4FUN,” which were both nothing short of controlled chaos. Jhariah has an amazing stage presence, jumping around and just plain out having fun on stage. You can tell they perform for the love of it. Every shift of their body with every change in rhythm was a sight to see. Watching them was like a combination rock show/cartoon come to life.

As soon as “RISK, RISK, RISK!” came on, the energy was truly amped up. People were screaming, jumping, and singing to their friends around them. While it wasn’t to the degree of a headliner show, you could tell that Waterparks fans had love for Jhariah. The song’s frantic and catchy energy was just impossible to resist hearing it live.

A completely unexpected moment came when Jhariah brought out New Jersey-native Tyler Povanda of the band Save Face to perform “A Lesson In Dramatics“. The crowd erupted in both excitement and confusion when Tyler walked on-stage. The energy between the two was truly inspiring. Their voices flowed together, bringing the dramatics and slightly unhinged energy to life in the best way possible.

That wonderful momentum was directly carried into “Flight of the Crows” where Jhariah’s story-telling was at its peak. The performance became almost cinematic, with the lighting dimmed and the crowd was so captivated by the performance. The instruments and vocals layered together beautifully, echoing off the wood-paneled walls. The mood of the dark, animated world of the song was represented perfectly.

And lastly to close out the set, Jhariah delivered “PIN-EYE,” with a beautifully composed choir & orchestra-esque introduction. The energy for this song was truly unmatched. You could truly tell that Jhariah was really giving it their all for the end of the show. Delivering an amazing performance while having fun is not for the weak, and Jhariah is proof of that. The entire room was ecstatic with clapping and dancing along to the song. To round it all off, Jhariah delivered several high notes which were nothing less than impressive at the end of a 30 minute long set.

As Jhariah walked off, cheers were loud and sustained. They didn’t just warm up the stage, they transformed it for the next two artists. Their performance felt like their own headliner: emotional, theatrical, and overall talented. Anyone who was able to catch a Jhariah set this tour knows how special it was to witness them.
